Ranch Trails Park
The Ranch Trails Park has officially been dedicated to the city and is to be open to the public in early 2008. The 14 acre park is located on the corner of Ranch Trails and North Frontier Road which is adjacent to Amenity Center. The site is heavily treed and provides shade throughout the park.
Phase I of the park will include: sand volleyball, basketball, open air pavilion, picnic tables, an outdoor shower, a drinking fountain, and BBQ areas. Future phases will provide: additional playscapes, walking/jogging trails, open play areas, and flex space (use to be determined based on community needs).
Brushy Creek Regional Trail
Brushy Creek Lake Park opened to the public in December 2003 and was formally dedicated on April 24, 2004. This 90-acre park offers endless activities and recreational opportunities.
The park’s facilities include:
a playground; a water playscape that operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from May 7th through September 30th; hike and bike trails; nature trails; an exercise station; three pavilions which may be rented for parties and special events; picnic tables with BBQ grills; a sand volleyball court; a canoe/kayak launch; a fishing pier; wildlife observation areas; a labyrinth; restrooms; and parking areas.
Brushy Creek Lake was constructed in 1965. Lake authorized activities include fishing, non-motorized boating and wildlife observation. Trolling motors are not permitted.
